I was worried from Sims 2, a game I have played before, that it would be way to inappropriate. I was highly impressed with the way it has upgraded. Yes, the sims can have "sex" but nothing is shown. While they're doing this act, you can't even see the sims at all. All you see is a blanket. They do kiss, but it's not nearly as bad as any kids television or movie kiss scenes. This game is a great experience for kids.
It show them how to handle money well. Helped me decide 3. Had useful details 4. Read my mind 7. Adult Written by Katie March 9, Parents Worried About Sex Yes this game has sex in it, but your child controls everything that their sims do. If you trust that your kids you should let them get this game. It also teaches kids responsibility and how to use money.
I think that your kids should be able to play the sims 4! Had useful details 2. Read my mind 6. Adult Written by Realistic Mama March 24, Mature Content My 8 almost 9 year old has been asking for this game for a year. This content is far too mature. The fairies are clearly 21 and up or acting like they are. They are at the bar, with a bartender mixing drinks at their request, trying to pick up boys, and having house parties I will not be allowing my daughter to purchase or play this game until who knows when - definitely not in the near future.
The concept is fun and creative, but the storylines need to be WAY more innocent for her age group. This title contains: Ease of Play. Helped me decide 2. Read my mind 1. Adult Written by Mike M December 23, The Sims 4 is less fun than previous installment, surprisingly contains more mature content. The Sims 4 is admittedly less fun than The Sims 3 as it lacks a number of features from its predecessor.
Therefore, in terms of playability, it takes a few steps back. For one, the beloved toddler life stage has been removed, meaning that players can no longer care for and play with infant Sims. Moreover, the Create-a-Style tool is absent, so players no longer have access to the same depth of customization that made the third game a hit.
With that being said, the game still comes out with regular updates or "patches" which can be automatically downloaded. These updates add in cool new features pools and Christmas items were added recently that enhance the gameplay experience. The Sims 4, like all the games in the life-simulation franchise, is very easy to pick up and play. Therefore, it is a great experience for younger gamers and more casual gamers as well. Basically, The Sims 4 is a point-and-click experience. It is an extremely engaging one, though.
Now that an emotions system has been implemented, the Sims are more lively and responsive than ever before. The Sims are now able to multitask, and cause and effect relationships are stronger than they were in previous games. Because the game seeks to mimic real life, players will unavoidably come in contact with themes such as death, the supernatural, love affairs, child birth, and so on.
Parents should not be worried, as the content remains light-hearted and has a comical feel to it. The graphics in the game are also more cartoony this time around, appealing to the younger ones. The female clothing options are surprisingly racier in this game, and there is an option to enhance breast and buttocks size using the new grab and pull feature.
It came as quite a shock to me to see that there are several more "Romantic" interactions in this game, including a wider variety of kissing styles and suggestive interactions. It might come as a relief to some knowing that the hot tub has been removed in the game, but it will likely be included in a future expansion pack. However, woohoo sexual intercourse is still present. In the end, it is up to the player to decide what activities they want their Sim characters to partake in. The game intentionally does not take itself very seriously; it is a wacky experience where players can take control of life in hundreds of ways.
If you believe that your younger teenager is mature enough to handle the game, then it shouldn't be a problem. Players will have a good time keeping their Sim families happy and healthy. If you already own The Sims 3, it is not worth investing in The Sims 4. Otherwise, it can make for a solid purchase. Just be aware of the fact that you are required to sign up for Origin and download the client in order to play the game.
Also, there are many in-game prompts asking you to share your creations online with the rest of the world via The Sims 4's "Gallery. Helped me decide 1. Read my mind. Adult Written by angellikes July 12, One of the most popular games in the early 's; gameplay has changed.
Sims4 is a great game, I have been playing this game since I was Although they took away the cars where you can go everywhere, the game is still quite good. However, I have viewed most reviews of this game and they keeping mentioning the sex in the game Aka WooHoo Listen, to anyone who is looking at this review, the sex is not really a problem in the game. It's just them moving around in the covers, I've seen under them, they're actually just laying down and the moving are the effects.
Plus, there is a option IN the game to turn off also pregnancy. I don't get why the WooHoo is such a nuisance to the game. Otherwise than the sex, there is only something in the game to enhance your gameplay; the 25 or 26 packs for Sims4 I currently have Get Famous and Seasons which why I mentioned the consumerism in the game.
Who the hell would buy all those packs for the game? Anyway, from the bad stuff on the game, Sims4 is a great educational game for the coming to adult people of how to use your money ex, have 48 hours to pay they're bills or else they're lights will be shut down, getting money from a job to use it on other stuff Also responsibilities, such as Pregnancy for a sim there is a option to turn it off like I said above After trying for baby also known as WooHoo your sim will use the toilet to see if they're pregnant.
It depends, sometimes it will fail unless you have the trait Fertile, where you can find in the Rewards store and sometimes it will be successful. There is also real life themes, such as 2nd trimester and that other crap, but then if you don't feed the baby after it's born, it will get taken away It happened to my sister once by forgetting to feed HER baby.
They also added something to the game; emotions. Mentioning about deaths in the game, there is 11 different types of default deaths more deaths may come soon such as drowning or being electrocuted.
As to close this review, Sims4 is recommended for the preteens. Adult Written by karamerlin April 15, I love how you can create your character in build a sim and create your sims life. I also think it is cool how you can keep your family going for many generations. Had useful details 1. My personal opinion It's an amazing game! For parents reading, I strongly recommend you to go and watch some Sims 4 videos, which can help you decide. You can get really created with it. Parent of a 4, 5, 6, and 7-year-old Written by Nicole25 February 28, This is a learning thing This game is a really good thing for my kids.
My oldest asked and I looked in to it and then I played it for a while on my computer. I finaly desided it was good for my kids. Had useful details. Adult Written by KarenS89 April 15, Wonderful My kids have loved playing this game! My youngest is 9 and has been playing since she was 8 and my oldest is 13 and has been playing since he was I was very hesitant to let him play at first but I check it out and it is completely appropriate.
My only concern was that when I clicked on the bed, I saw that they can have sex so I was about to go crazy. It is a good game for learning how to spend your money. Water and electricity is turned off one by one. Another thing that is great about the game is you can play practice at thing and get really good.
For example, if you cook in the game often, your character gets really good at cooking and you can make more and more. You can make as many friends as you like.
It is a great way to make better choices in life. Overall I really recommend this game for any kids. Adult Written by Blazeheart2 December 15, Awesome Okay, this may or may not be long! Sit back and contemplate what that triple-loop, double switchback will do to the internal organs of your peeps and get to work! What Microsoft did for the flight sim, they also did for trains. If your kids or you, for that matter like trains and who doesn't? Get behind the "wheel" of a variety of locomotives in locales from Japan to America to Europe.
Over miles of track are featured in the original game and several expansion packs add hundreds more miles. And, since the game was initially released in , it will play well on your old PC. Take that Crysis! Seriously, there's nothing quite like steaming over the Alps or dashing through Japanese cities or hauling freight through the American Mid-West.
Get out your engineer's cap and neckerchief and saddle up an Iron Horse for a good time with the whole family. Kids love animals, that's all there is to it, and no game offers more animals than the Zoo Tycoon line. You can build a traditional zoo, a marine park, even a Jurassic Park! Believe me, you have never heard your child laugh with glee until their T-Rex escapes from its pen and rips zoo visitors to shreds.
Perhaps this says something about kids, but we won't go there ZT2 on the DS even features a mode that lets children "personally" take care of the animals with stylus-based minigames.
And, while your kids are having fun, they get to learn a little about habitats, eating habits and the ecology of many animals. Hey, maybe even you should give it a shot, you might learn something too. Nintendogs was one of the first big hits on the DS and a large reason it has become the number one selling console of this generation. While no virtual pet can ever be like the real thing, Nintendogs comes close. The game comes in several different versions, each featuring different breeds of dogs; but, don't worry, the type "featured" in the game only refers to the choices available at the beginning of the game.
More breeds can be unlocked with dedicated play. Feed, water, cuddle and train your palm-sized best friend with the DS's touch controls. You can even order your pet around using the built-in mic. If your kid wants a dog and you don't want the Sims games lend themselves to all types of gameplay.
Whether your child flits from thing to thing or gets engrossed in hammering out little details, there's something for them in every one of these games. Best of all, you can let them enjoy these games without worrying about whether or not they're going to get into something they shouldn't. Discuss this list and others on the Top 10 Lists board.
